Connecticut artist Paul Lipp taught art for 18 years at Paier School of Art in Hamden, CT, while pursuing his own fine art skills and accepting private commissions from such leading publications as Golf Digest and PGA magazine. His paintings in the exhibition include landscapes, a portrait of a crusty seaman, and still lifes that are detailed with elements of trompe l’oeil, such as the water droplets on fruits and vegetables. He has exhibited his work in major shows at the Connecticut Academy, Springfield Museum, Mystic Maritime Gallery, Quinipiac College, and the Lyme Art Association to name a few. He has received awards form the National Society of Illustrators, the Benedictine Fine Arts Competition and the Mount Carmel Art Association. Lipp’s oil paintings are in over five hundred private and corporate collections throughout the United States and Europe.
