Sylvan Gallery is proud to present "Tidline," an exhibition and sale of paintings and sculptures by select contemporary realist artists who capture life at the water's edge from August 10 - September 22, 2007. Subjects include fishing harbors, marsh, beach, and rocky promontories of the New England coast. Also featured will be carvings of birds by Dale Callaway and classic seashell artwork by Kitty Smith. Contributing artists include Connecticut artists Peter Layne Arguimbau, Dale Callaway, Catherine Christiano, Angie Falstrom, Cora Howard, Chris Karpinski, Loretta Lee, Victor Mays, Deborah Quinn-Munson, Marek Sarba, Ann Scanlan, and John Stannard. Also showing will be Maine artists Stan Moeller and Kitty Smith; Indiana artist Laura Winslow; New Jersey artists Al Barker and Mary Poerner, New York artist Crista Pisano; Vermont artists Amy Beth, Jack Winslow, and Karen Winslow; and Montana artists Jennifer Li and Nicholas Oberling.
