Keith Gunderson, working and living in the Hudson River Valley of Kerhonkson, NY, translates the beauty of the area and the nearby Catskill region onto his canvas. Known for his lush Florida scenes, tranquil Connecticut coastal views, Vermont pastoral, and New York cityscapes, he works in the vernacular of the Barbizon painters, emphasizing the light effect and mood of his subject. Gunderson studied at the Art Students League under the talented instructors Frank Mason, Harvey Dinnerstein, David Leffel, Gustav Rehberger, and Nelson Shanks. He is currently instructing students of his own in upstate New York. |
