Christine Karpinski's landscape paintings have an expressive quality conveyed by gestural brushwork and palette knife work, and by her ability to capture the light, mood, and atmosphere of her subject. Her delight and reverence for the landscape is expressed in her painting. Karpinski’s work was accepted into the Royal Academy of Fine Art in London in their Summer 2003 Exhibition. In May of 2004, she was featured in a three-person exhibit at Sylvan Gallery for paintings that she created during a two-week artist’s residency at the International Arts retreat in County Kerry, Ireland. Karpinski’s work can be seen regularly at the the Essex Art Association and the Lyme Art Association where she is an elected artist member. Karpinski studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts. |
