Crista Pisano was born and raised in northern New Jersey. In 1989 she began painting in oils at the Ridgewood Art Institute in Ridgewood, NJ. While there, Crista studied portrait, still-life, and landscape – which became her main focus. In the fall of 1996, Crista began the BFA program at the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts in Old Lyme, CT. She graduated from Lyme Academy in the spring of 2000, receiving a Bachelor degree of Fine Arts in Painting. Crista is currently a member of the Mystic Art Association, the Ridgewood Art Institute, the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts, the Hopper House Art Center, The Barrett Art Center, and an elected member of the Lyme Art Association. She exhibits her works throughout New England and New York, including The Tradewinds Gallery in Mystic, CT, and the Arnould Gallery & Framery in Marblehead, MA. Her paintings hang in private collections throughout the country. Crista is a recent graduate of the New York Academy of Art – Graduate School of Figurative Art in downtown Manhattan, where she received her Masters degree of Fine Arts in Painting. |
